Short bio
Experimenting for some years now with databending, QuarterBit is the alias of the Portuguese sound designer Fernando Fonseca, one the people behind the netlabel “PublicSpaces Lab”. QuarterBit is the project that stimulates the curiosity of this sound designer for coding and a critical view of the amount of data that is produced every day in so many formats.
QuarterBit has been a dormant project for the last months – apart from the collaboration with Kieron James on the HalfBIT project – but a new EP will see the light of day in the first semester of 2011.
